As a Performer:
Once notably reviewed as “The little girl with the big-big voice,” Natalie Amaya has been singing professionally and performing, both nationally and internationally, for over three decades.
As a member of the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA) since 2002, Natalie has performed in many musicals, including “Selena Forever” (National Tour and Los Angeles residence), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (multiple theatre companies), The Buddy Holly Story (Post Street Theatre), The Wizard of Oz (Berkeley Playhouse), Four Guys Named Jose (Teatro Vison), Children of Eden (The Willows Theatre Company), and Flower Drum Song (Woodminster Amphitheater).
Outside of theatre, Natalie spent months singing as a finalist on Univision’s hit television show, Objectivo Fama. Along with this, Natalie has also performed in multiple concerts with Salvadorian pop singer Alvaro Torres, and has recorded with Grammy and Latin Grammy award winner Cesar Benitez.
As native of California with Salvadorian and Swedish heritage, Natalie has worked to achieve her goals in both English and Spanish.
As a Teacher:
2000-2003, Natalie taught voice lessons at Priscilla’s Music School in Los Angeles.
2007-2017, Natalie worked as a performer/educator and road manager for Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Program (ETP). Through ETP, Natalie regularly performed, teaching health education to K-12 students throughout Northern California. Some of her trainings through Kaiser include: Peer Counseling, Adolescent Development, and the Lincoln Center Teaching Artist Training.
From 2017-Current, Natalie concurrently works as a director of children’s musical theater at Berkeley Playhouse, and as a private voice teacher.
